I'm wondering if I have something else set up incorrectly? I do have SSL enabled for my site but the only way uc_ssl will work if I disable switching, putting the entire site in https. Otherwise the cart is not secure.

I don't know if it matters or not but I have Drupal installed in a subdirectory on my server.

i have a similar problem when the uc_ssl switch is enabled. When a user puts products in the cart they disappear when he go to cart/checkout the first time. When he did it again all works.

This problem appears not in google chrome!

Drupal needs to be the primary site, it cant be a subdir. Only use this on a live website, not in a dev environment such as within a subdir. This module does not support subdir setups.
