In 4.7.4, I have CCK + ImageField + Localizer. If I create a new node an then I attach it various images... everything is ok... but If I attach a new image with the same filename than other previously attached, then the system renames the file as file_0.jpg, that is what it should be, but if I translate this node the files that were renamed as file_0,file _1, are re-renamed by localizer as file_2, file_3, so they work fine in the translated node, but they are wrong in the original one !!
Files that weren't renamed by the system are keeped ok in both nodes.
Thanks for this beautiful module that is improving day by day and is in the right direction to become the real choice to made multilingual site in Drupal.

Roberto Gerola commentedThe problem is the clone method used to create a base for the node to translate.
At now localizar loads the original node and makes a copy with the selected new language.
So, localizer doesn't control directly this beahavior.
If I understand correctly it is a more general problem related to attachments to a node ?
Right ?

Pamplinas commentedWell, I'm only using the CCK-imagefield module. I haven't activated the upload module and there are no other attachments but the ones created by the imagefield.

sunI've tried to reproduce this bug in Drupal 5.1 with the latest localizer module development snapshot, but I couldn't. I suggest you to upgrade to Drupal 5. I don't think that there will be much support for 4.7 as long as you do not backport the latest developments yourself.
