I searched in drupal.org/project as well as in cvs.drupal.org but cannot locate a 5.x versions of the [tasks.module]
Yet, attempting to install module Tasklist Advanced 5.x-1.0 reports: Depends on: Tasks (missing)

You can find the Tasklist module for Drupal 5.0 in that Tasklist Issues. The maintainer of Tasklist doesn't seem to be very active, so it hasn't been properly released.
