Hi,

In my local testing set up I have two drupal 4.7.5 installs. They are identical, clean installs with no other modules added, in fact the only thing I've done is create the first user. And yet in one site the clean url test works and I can enable them, and in the other site I get an error page when I try the test.

Can anyone shed any light on this, I'm baffled?

For info, I'm using the latest version of MAMP, each site directory is set up as a virtual host and this is properly configured in NetInfo and httpd.conf

Ok, my bad. I'd managed to copy everything bar the .htaccess file into the site root. Doh.
