i guess maybe this is a bug on the imagecache.. but...

both the teaser view and body view are the imagecache setting size for the teaser.

and, the text in the form when entereing a image field actually does say

Imagecache Options
Teaser preset:
Select the imagecache preset you want to handle thumbnails in the teaser.
Body preset:
Select the imagecache preset you want to handle thumbnails in the teaser.

hopefully this should be easy enough to fix.. i will take a look

likely related to this but more likely a separate bug on either cache or field...

if i do a view image on the image that gets placed in the body.. i get:

files/imagecache/content_product_thumbnail/files/images/23081091.JPG

which shows a couple different bugs:

- when it asks for a folder off files to store image it actually makes a folder imagecache .. and then another folder farther down with file/images

also, there is anotehr copy of the thumbnail at:

files/imagecache/content_product_thumbnail/files/23081091.JPG

- plus the link it uses seems to be to the thumbnail when this is supposed to be the body image

- the original file does exist at files/images but it hasnt been scaled

so lots of issues here... i'll keep looking

You are describing exactly how imagecache should work. (aside from the typo in the description text for the Body preset select input). The original image will never get altered by imagecache. It creates an altered copy within the imagecache the first time the image is requested.

well pretty sure that is not intended behaviour. or at least i hope not.

so i must have described it wrong

- i have an image that is 177x150
- i have 2 presets - 1 called teaser_image (100x100) and one called body_image (150x150)
- when i enter cck field it asks for preset for the body image and one for the teaser - i enter the 2 presets as above

what i get is a body image at:

files/imagecache/content_product_thumbnail/files/images/23081091.JPG

which is the teaser image

and in my teaser i get the same thing

perhaps this is a bug on cck imagefield - perhaps it is not doing what it suggests by creating both images (using imagecache)

there is also the bug.. in one of these modules when (occasionaly, and i think if i do this to fast??) after i do an image uplaod (in my cck form) and submit the form.. i get garbage html with binary (i.e. the image file???) dumped to browser.. pretty sure this one is an imagecache issue

i just checked and i DO have the latest files from CVS other than the minor typo fixes you and killes just submitted.. so i think this issue still exists.

ok, well i tested this about times and it never worked.. havent changed a thing and now it seems to be working...
