I noticed the documentation link is broken, and the README is kind of confusing how this works. So I create a content type named Galleria, and any images uploaded to that content type become part of it? So you can basically only have a single galleria with all of your images, instead of being able to break them down into folders (music, sports, animals, etc...)?

mjohnq3 commentedUnless something has changed in the -dev version a Galleria is a node with images attached to it. You can have as many images as is practical in each Galleria node. Since you can create more then one Galleria node, you can set up galleries for as many different types or categories of images as you require.
You can set up a menu listing and linking to all of your Galleria's or use Views to create a Gallery landing page listing all of your galleries. You could even show a thumbnail of an image from each gallery in the listing.
