Collapsible form login block doesn't respect redirect via Rules

Hi all, I just put a login block of the "Collapsible form" type on my homepage and found that the rule I have defined to redirect certain roles doesn't work from that form. It still works from the /user page though. I guess I have to try Login Destination and hope it can provide the redirect. After seeing that huge thread about LD and LT merging and not merging, I figured rules wouldn't have a problem doing this. If you want further info, let me know.
