I recently migrated IP addresses so we could install an SSL. That's about all the background I can give you. All previously existing content and custom content types are fine, I can edit them. But I can't create a new one. It gets done with processing the new request, and shoots me to the "content types" page. If I click edit, manage fields, or delete for that content type, it shoots me back to the "content types" page again. Might also mention that the new types I created won't show up in the "create content" menu.

Help!!??? I'm stuck and need to publish...

I'm running into the same issue. Old content types work fine, but new ones don't, and I don't think they are being written to the database.

We also added SSL since the last content type creation.
I have the content template, and CCK redirection modules installed.

To try and solve the problem

  • I updated to latest version of CCK (6x-2.9)
  • updated to latest version of Drupal (6.22)
  • flushed all caches
  • ran update.php
  • tested different names in case I was using a reserved word

EDIT: I've opened an issue in CCK module at http://drupal.org/node/1203032.
