Hi Dave,

I just released a spiritual/conceptual backport of the Field Formatter Settings functionality of D7 core to D6 in the form of the Formatter Settings module, I then promptly stumbled on your module. Thankfully it is not a clone.

However, I would be extremely happy to work together to either make a D6 version of Field Formatter Settings, or make the necessary changes to Formatter Settings so that a D6 version of Field Formatter Settings is un-necessary.

I didn't have any plans to backport it to Drupal 6, but if you'd like to be added as a co-maintainer and provide a 6.x backport here, I would think that's great. I do see you've already released it as an official module, so I don't really mind if it lives separately either and I can provide a link on the project page to it. Either way, let me know.
