Heres an alter js I made that solves the IE z-index bug.

Basicaly I copied the fix that dkruglyak posted for version 4.7 into the 5.x version

so now it should work fine in IE too :)

.....

Sorry this turned out not to work trying to figure it out what went wrong..

ok figured out whats wrong need to change the Jquerry code too... so once i figure out that i should have this fix working so z-index wont be an issue...

ok stuck cant quite figure out how to solve this... jquery is being a bit queer... really need to find out how to get the z-index to work preperly too..

These are great, but have a question for you.

Are these menus based on your Taxonomy setup?
- Do you have Vocabs setup for : Programs, Community, Library and then terms added under each of these for the sub menus?

I have seen another way in the menus section to add links and then sub links to them. I want to know what the best way to organize the menu and navigation system to dynamically add new nodes or categories to these menus.

Thank you.

I am not so sure about your question. I add submenu manually. I don't think there is a method that can dynamically add nodes to menus.

Yes, My menus some are based on Taxonomy, some are nodes.
Good luck!

I was looking for this thing for quite a long time. I just implemented the nice menu for horizontal sliding at acne site. I have posted the details of the module and a small installation guide at my blog Drupal Sliding Menu, I am now looking to implement the nice menu head feature, Any ideas from anybody about the moneycontrol.com style drop down menu as posted in question above?

Has anyone tried the No Koala with its css drop down menus for 5.0? It looks much more elegant. I still hv to figure how to implement this theme.

I tried nokoala on my v5.1, it works well, but the module Fasttoggle seems lost its ajax-like function.

I use nice menu for all my websites. You need to modify style.css for nicemenu. Read the readme file of the module.
Check here what I did:

Is that a Drupal5 site? Can you upload an updated nice_menu if you got it working?

faqing’s picture

Yes, it is Drupal 5.1.

I just made a Drop-down menu for drupal 5. The theme even works with Drupal 6 (need to add one info file).
Cannot apply CVS account here. You can download it at my site:

My DHTML menus didn't work in other themes in IE6. However, in your version (garland_dropmenu), they appear to work in IE6!!!

Very neat stuff.

Is it possible to get menu functionality in Drupal like at http://www.moneycontrol.com/stocksmarketsindia/ specifically the green menu bar

Thanks
Gerry

How do I get my hands on it?

Gmasky,
Are you going to post your drop down menu?

Hey ccdoss,

Like you I am looking for such functionality which is really cool. Any theme developers willing to wok on this? How much will it cost?

The guys at Lullabot have something similar http://www.lullabot.com/podcast
