UPDATE. This is a bug after more testing it appears that the Archive block in Views 7.x-3.x-dev and Beta 3 makes the pager vanish on the front page, if it is not used there is no problem or if pager is set to a specified amount in views there is no problem. I'll comment in Views.

=========================================
Hi not sure if this is the right place to post but I don't want to post in support until I can rule out user error.

I installed views and used the front page view and then decided to disable it. I then set the path to the front page back to default but noticed that the pager had vanished?

Next I cleared views and site cache, still the same.

Next I disabled views in modules, the pager came back.

Next I uninstalled views and checked the database to see if views fields were deleted, they were.

Next I reinstalled views, I enabled views and the page disappeared again.

This process and variations of this process have killed about 4 hours for me, has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it or know if its Drupal, CTools or Views causing it?

Same problem.

I am sadly experiencing this same issue as well. However, I am experiencing this issue even when the Archive block is disabled. If I have a view with a pager set, the pager returns.

I think I have the same problem and after some tinkering and stumbling across this thread decided to post a bug report. Check it out here: http://drupal.org/node/1170284

In short, my pager links go missing on pages with any custom Views block. Simply taking those blocks off the front page brings the pager links back there (but not elsewhere). Anyone wants to shed more light on this?

Hey folks, for anyone who is having this kind of problem: If you have several pagers on the same page, they need to be assigned different pager IDs (under each pager’s settings). Read it up under Advanced Help > Basic Settings, or in the pager settings right under pager ID.

That solved it for me! :D

Arg, it's always the simple things you overlook! Solved my problem, thanks!
