are there plans to update this module for drupal version 5?
sounds like what I need, but I'm on drupal 5 only ...

tomsys asked me to answer this because I was going to work directly on Flash Filter.

I have started a new project with broader scope SWF Tools and the goal is to include a filter tool like Flash Filter.

SWF Tools will begin at Drupal 5. I don't know what the timing is yet.

Flash filter is now available in SWF Tools.

[flash:filename.swf] is working well and good. If you are using [flashlink:], or passing variables through the filter as well, there is no upgrade path yet.
