I've noticed some strange behaviour on our Drupal site (http://www.qatarliving.com) this week. We're used to the normal spam posts (mostly for mobile phones and electronics) but this week they changed the attack slightly.

While still adding the same spam type post, they are also leaving targetted comments. So in a thread that we had where someone was looking for a Tutor in Qatar the spammer left a message saying something like

"I couldn't contact you via e-mail but I can provide tutoring for you. Please contact me on ......

.

Similar messages were left on other threads (one referred to buying a car and the spammer said if you are still interested in the car please contact xxxxx@xxxxx.com).

Has anyone else seen this? I've heard rumours about the automated script that attacks Drupal sites - is it getting more sophisticated or these human spammers?
