CCK items which are added to book outlines show the UP link to parents, but parents do not show the link down to the siblings unless they are of the type "book page"

I can't reproduce this using Drupal 5.1 and cck 5.x-1.3. The cck node appears just like any other outlined node for me (using book page, page and custom type together) as child and sibling.

I can't reproduce it either, using 5.x-dev and CCK 5.x-1.x-dev. CCK node shows up fine beneath book page, book page shows up fine beneath CCK node. All three nodes show up in the printer-friendly documentation (although only the body field of the CCK node is displayed, which I hope the great book.module revisions in 6.x-dev change)

They also all show up in the book navigation block.
