I just posted a followup to an issue on the Environment Indicator module's issue queue about adding the functionality of this module in with that one. I suggested that we build the functionality of that module into yours since you have been maintaining yours more actively.

Here is the issue, I'm sure you've already seen it (it's a little old): #1091212: Add small corner banner (deprecating Development Banner module)

I noticed an issue in your queue here that addressed this issue #986608: See also: similar module, so maybe you are not interested in implementing that functionality, just thought I'd check.

I see no need to deprecate Environment Indicator, I think the modules are different enough, at least now. I will respect whatever the community decides if the feeling is only one module is needed.
