this is an extremely useful module, for those that have relevant applications - and a Drupal 5 version would be highly appreciated.

looking forward to an updated version, and prepared to contribute towards the cost of development.

Hmm, I don't know why I didn't follow up on this before. Sorry for the unresponsiveness.

Anyway, this module is slated to be updated as soon as I finish updating the backup module.

It's not a cost issue, so much as it is a spare time issue. I need someone to create 36 hour days. :-P

Title:drupal 5 compatible?» ah, paradise . . .

hi Doug : much encouraged by your response : how true, we could all do with 36-hour days !!!
I cannot resist the temptation of asking the question (at the risk of sounding unintentionally pressing) - but, any time estimate in the horizon?

best,
abramo

apparently (and unfortunately) the author has no interest in updating this module any time soon. while thanking him for his invaluable contribution, seems that we have to assign the update to an independent developer. if anybody is interested in sharing development costs for the update of this module please PM me.

Ahem.

I have plenty of interest in updating the module. It is time and other priorities that are the issue for me.

If you or anyone else would like to take a whack at converting it to Drupal 5, feel free. You can toss the diffs up here (or email them to me) and I'll be happy to QA and check them in if all is well.

@dough :: many thanks :: if there will be interest in sharing development cost for this module, the update will be for private use initially :: it will be released eventually to the drupal community after a period of 4 months :: anybody needing the updated module during that period will have to share in the develpment cost.
