I get the following error after trying to uninstall the module:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function pay_form_load() in /home/test/public_html/hosted/saservice.com/sites/all/modules/donate/donate.module on line 45

try uninstalling the payment api first, then when all the options for the payment api are uninstalled, uninstall the donate module. i got this error, and this worked for me.
