Some thumbnails are not displayed correctly by Acidfree (shown as broken images - "Red cross"), in Internet Explorer.
This happens randomly. The same thumbnail can once be displayed correctly and some times later on be broken (then again correct if you refresh the page, then again broken for another refresh, etc.).
This problem occurs only with Internet Explorer (release 6 and 7).
It never happens with Firefox.
For exemple the following link
Test Album
Was displayed correctly in Firefox and not in Internet Explorer ...

vhmauery commentedAre you using drupal to transfer the files? Or are the files marked as private so filemanager transfers them? If this is the case, you might want to consider allowing your web server to transfer the files. It is much faster and uses less cpu power.

opolette commentedThanks for your answer.
However, I do not understand what you mean by "allowing your web server to transfer the files".
Moreover, concerning private or public file transfer, I have tried both and this has not effect on my problem.

Coming back to your comments, actually, I did the following:
- Go to administer/acidfree
- uncheck "Force all new images to be transferred by Drupal"
- check "Process all images against new security"
- save config
- run cron
- Go to administer/filemanager
- set up right directory settings
- uncheck "Force Private" for acidfree
thank you for your help
Regards
