my drupal install is http://localhost/ my gallery2 install is http://localhost/gallery2

Everything is setup properly but whenever i try to embed i get this error.

Embedded Gallery2 Status:
'URI of Gallery2' variable: Error
Error 10060: 'A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. ' retrieving
PHP Memory Limit: Success
Overall Status: Error
You need to fix the above errors before Gallery2 will be embedded in Drupal.

All my URI settings are right, i have no idea why this would not embed since the gallery2 is actually working also.

I changed a few things now i get this error:

'URI of Gallery2' variable: Error
Either your server does not support the automated verification of the Gallery 2 location or the supplied g2Uri points to a incompatible Gallery 2 version (older than 2.1)

but the gallery2 version i have is 2.1.2

The automated config of the Gallery2 settings will not work for all hosts. Just use the manual configuration and put in the settings as described in the help.
