A little while back dww mentioned that maybe having a Project/Issues FAQ on d.o might be a good idea. I wanted to get an issue made for it so it would stay on radar and we could discuss if we should have one and, if so, where to put it. I think it would probably be most useful if it was a block that appeared on project/issue pages but I don't know how feasible that is.

Here is a snip taken from that IRC convo with dww and webchick for starters:
dww: we need a "Drupal.org issue queue faq or project stuff in general.
a) yes we know you can't select the drop-down as an anon user.
b) yes we know that code needs info isn't in the list

we can certainly have one though I an unsure what specifically it would cover that is not already in the project documentation.

Decided in the interim is that anonymous users will not have the ability to filter by versions as it would be to painful to code and perhaps provide more incentive for users to log in.

Code needs info is a little to vague for me.

Unless someone comes up with a list of actual FAQ type items I will close this for now.
