So i've been working on a development of a new site and have my drupal install in a subfolder on my server.

I'd like to go ahead and move it to main domain.

any help or advice on how to do this?

I'd appreciate any help someone can provide! I'm not sure how easy it is to move the site.

I've never done this, but I would do following.

1. copy files to main directory
2. change the sites/default/settings.php $base_url accordingly
3. make sure that the database is accessible from new location.

Is it more difficult than this or do I miss someting completely?

I guess I can give it a shot, that sounds easy enough.

I'm sure there are people who have done this successfully...

Please let us know if it works. We need to do the same thing. Create a test site, then if approved, move it to the root.
