Does anyone have experience of setting up Maestro 3D Secure (Cardinal Centinel )for Paypal website payments pro?

Our client wishes to use Maestro in checkout -and as I understand it , Maestro requires paypal(or other gateway) to use the 3D Secure process for additional security.
Although we've done quite a few eCommerce sites with Ubercart this is the first time i've come across this and I am unable to find any useful information on either Google, Drupal or Ubercart with regards to this.

Title: 3D Secure for Maestro Payments in UK » 3D Secure for Maestro Payments in UK via PayPal WPP
Category: support » feature

From a quick look at the PayPal docs it seems this needs extra code in the WPP handler to deal with this - it isn't yet implemented in Ubercart.

Alternatively some other payment gateways provide 3D Secure support, which you may be able to use instead - Sage Pay supports it at least: http://drupal.org/project/uc_protx_vsp_direct

Thanks Longwave - After a bit more digging it looks like we might not be able to use Maestro at all anyway - our site sells recurring memberships and 3D Secure prevents recurring payments from happening - so all in all it looks like I don't need to do anything.

Thanks for the the quick response and help though :-)

On a side note - I just found a 3D secure module on Ubercart http://www.ubercart.org/project/3dsecure, might check it out if we need it.

Yep you can't use recurring payments on Maestro cards for exactly that reason.

Leaving this open as it's still a valid feature request, though I have no plans to work on an implementation myself any time soon.
