I would like to create an inline text box that highlights a quote from the body text - an example is in BIG qotes with a grey backgroung - here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6306807.stm

Although a module would be great I am happy to initially do it in HTML manually. An example of such code is below BUT although it woks in my html editor previe, when I put it as the content of a Drupal page it ignores the inliner and table width instructions and looks a mess. I could turn it into a graphic but thought I would ask advice first

You need to change the input format to full html otherwise drupal will strip out all your tags :)

Oh - and you shouldn't really be using tables to in your layout either :)

Thanks for that - I have checked and I was using FULL HTML. any thoughts how to create such a small, right allingned, text holding box atht is not based on tables?

It will probably be easier to just inline the styles (rather than put them into a css file) just for now, so something like this would do you

<div style="text-align:right;border:1px solid black; background-color:#999999;margin:20px;padding:5px;font-size:1.2em;font-weight:bold;">
your stuff in here
</div>

That will give you a right aligned box with a black border, bold text and a grey background ...

Thanks - but this seems to add a grey text box the total width of the page with text above it and below it. What I am after is a box say 20% of the page width with body text flowing around it.

This is a great topic and something I would love to see in drupal. Anyone else have any suggestions?
