Hi
I've search the forums and learnt that wildcard searching was removed for better database performance. Instead you're supposed to use stemming, the Porter Stemmer module I guess. But what do you recommend for a non-english site? The porter stemmer algorithm is english only.
The current search functionality is not that good to be honest. If I search for Bradykard, I get nil results. If I search for Bradykardi, I get them all. When you have a site with a lot of difficult words, the exact word search of Drupal 5.0 isn't very user friendly.
Any suggestions kindly appreciated.

Hello? :) Do I exist?
Hello? :) Do I exist? Probably not. That would explain a lot.
I'll add a "me, too"
I'm just looking into this, as well. I was surprised that a search for "dentist" doesn't turn up "dentistry."
Are there any add-ons to provide results for almost-hits?
Likewise!
Surely there must be a way to enable wildcard searching? Exact word searching is a terrible user experience!

Can't believe that we could'nt choose to use wildcards or not... Porter Stemmer is quite good, but only for english websites... :-(
