It was mentioned in the Revision Moderation issue logs that this module will be its successor:

Would someone have any step by step tips on how to set this up?

If you are after an approach like Revision Moderation then Revisioning may be a good fit.

I imagine there would need to be an upgrade path written since data would need to move between tables.

giorgio79 can you investigate the kind of data transformation that would be necessary to get Revision Moderation's data into Workbench Moderation tables?
