I try the following combination: up size - down size - reset ( everything ok) - down size suddenly all fonts become 72 or bigger. The problem could not be reproduced on other browsers.

Very similar problem.
In IE8 and 7, if I click the 'decrease' option first, the font size goes to 72px or higher.
It seems to be some bug in calculating the current font size in IE.
In theory, it should affect increasing the size too, but it doesn't.

I've added a hack for now.
