..and he's an experienced net user. Has cleared his cache, history, everything. I've even reset his password and he still cannot login to the sys?

keeps getting access denied....

I have checked and double cheked his account, nothing strange, and ***I can login as him just fine!***

Help please.......

Does hie account work on other sites? I.e. can he login to drupal.org with this account?

And if this solved you problem, would you be so kind to report back that it helped? This will help others whom are looking for the same solution.

- Ask him to try and login using a different browser. What happens?
- When you login as him, what browser are you using? Same operating system?

I've noticed a weird behavior with firefox. On some of my Drupal-powered sites, I enter my username and password, click login and nothing happens. If I refresh my screen I'm logged in. I can't pinpoint why it's happening and it doesn't do it every time.

same with me and Moz, but not limited to drupal, also have trouble wth js links..

he's using ie now when he wants to comment, not ideal but at least he can participage! btw: http://www.threadwatch.org - not bad for a 4.5 fresh install ;-)

Same problem here. Once upon a time (last week) I could log in with firefox. Suddenly I can't. The only way I can see what a theme looks like in firefox is to convert the theme to 'default'. Or wait to rely on user feedback which is non existent at this point since such a small fraction of users use it...none at my site. (also the reason why it's a temporarily a 'safer' browser)

Very frustrating ! Which is basically all I've ever gotten from firefox, from both a user & designer/developers point of view - frustration. Aside from sticking it to mSoft/IE & tabbed browsing, and a couple of other features I think it is sorely lacking as a browser. But that's another story.

I'm completely new to Drupal, so excuse me if this is something that's already been addressed but I just haven't yet found the solution to.

I'm having problems with any submit button working with both Firefox 1.0 & Mozilla 1.7.5 on Win XP. I haven't tested either (or Camino) on OS X yet, though. Basically, I have to click on any kind of submit button twice in order for it to actually take me to the correct page. Clicking it once will look like it's posting the data, but I'm stuck at the same page. Only when I click it a second time am I taken to the target page. This happens on any form.

I don't experience the problem on this site, but I am on my own new Drupal site. I thought that maybe some of the themes were interferring, but that's not the case, either. I can reproduce the error in PHPtemplate and Xtemplate themes. I've made sure that my CSS is being served as MIME type text/css and it is.

I haven't yet turned on caching and have even emptied that table, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem, either. I also haven't turned throttling on (although I don't think that would be a problem) and that doesn't fix it either.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

I am just having the same problem of not being able to login from some browsers.
I have tried cleaning up caches, cookies, etc., but anything seems to change.
At this moment I am trying to login on the same PC from ie and firefox: I am able only from firefox. However, on other PC I have been able to login from ie without troubles.

Has anyone solved this problem?

Some extra information: I have just changed the sites/ directory, eliminating some sites and just leaving the default/ one... I also have changed the login timeout (session.cookie_lifetime) to 600 seconds...
