I changed my site name in Administer->Site configuration->Site information and the new site name displays correctly in the browser title bar for every page except the front page, which still displays the old site name. Any idea why that would be and how I can fix it? Thanks~

Are you using the Page Title module or any performance cache (core or Boost)?

You can try clearing the site's cache: site configuration > performance although the site name should refresh regardless...

Hi, thanks for your reply. Hmmmm ... I'm not using the page title module and clearing the cache didn't seem to work. Any other ideas?

The old title might be in the settings there.

What you're describing doesn't really make sense in terms of Drupal Core. Out of the box, the front page title is: Site Name | Slogan as set on the Site Information page.

If that's not what you're seeing on the home page, then either your theme or another module is overriding it.

I would switch themes and see if that changes anything. If not, I would start disabling non-core modules till it goes back to the default.

Sure enough, I changed my theme from The Morning After (ProsePoint port) to something else and the title was displayed correctly. Sorry to be a noob, but where would this theme-specific title be stored? It's not in Site building > Themes > The Morning After (ProsePoint port) > configure. Thanks again for the help~

Try a different Zen Sub-Theme. If the problem still exists, then it's Zen's fault so you'll need to look there. If the problem goes away, then it's your themes fault and I would post an issue on the project page for that theme.

If it's Zen's fault, search the Zen docs and issue que for some help...I don't use it, so that's about as far as I can take you.

Great, thanks. It does not occur in Zen or other Zen sub-themes, so I will try reporting the bug on The Morning After theme project page.

I tried changing the title according to our requirements in the Home Page Title within meta tag module. But it doesn't change. What else can be done?

www.stratbeans.com - I want to replace the 'Home' with another phrase.
