Your modules 'Node access user reference' and 'Node access node reference' are in different groups on the admin/modules page. (CCK vs. Other). You might consider moving them both to 'ACCESS CONTROL'-group, where a.o. 'ACL'-module resides.

I will move them both to 'other' as CCK is no longer a package in Drupal 7. "Access control" is not a valid package.

Probably won't get around to any drupal stuff for 2 or 3 weeks though, just moved and I don't have an internet connection at home :(

IMO you can use 'Access control' just like other modules do. Michelle says using your own is bad practice and points to [#231036] which shows merely 'Suggested examples'. Indeed, you do not have a big module which justifies your own group, but many small ones....

Anyway, the main thing is that both modules share the same package.

FYI, currently I have the following downloaded access modules in the ACL package: ACL, Content Access, Forum Access, View Unpublished Content.

But those aren't a package :/ It's being used as a taxonomy system. Unless those modules depend on ACL, but that isn't the case with my modules.
