Description
I am not certain if this module is actively being developed. I don't think I want to use lucence and nutch due to the java platform requirement. I can help with testing and possibly implementation.

#1
I would also be willing to help with testing and implementation.

Pearcec, you write about a java platform requirement. Where does this come from? Does Swish-e require it? The Swish-e installation manual does not mention "Java" anywhere...
I have not looked into the module's code a lot but it seems that not much work needs to be done to upgrade the module to Drupal 5. Anybody tried adding a ".info" file to the module? Does this make it work already?

Nope you don't need java. That is nutch and lucene which there is a plugin. That is an alternative to this module. I would prefer not to deploy java to my platform.
It won't take much to upgrade. I plan on doing the work in the next month or so.

I did a lot of upgrading work on this module several weeks ago and will be packaging and contributing the code back to the project in the next few days. It would be wonderful to have as many people help with improving the 5.0 version as possible including a lot of testing.

I will check back for a package and do testing. Willing to help out where I can on this as it is a much needed module. Right now I am using htdig with a custom page that is less than a perfect solution, but working...
#6
I have a 5.0 version that a couple of people are testing now. If anyone is interested in testing, contact me through the Drupal contact form and I will give you a copy and we can work on some stuff. Hopefully once this basic testing is done we can release to a larger audience and get a 5.0 release.
#7
Matt, is your contact form turned on? I'm not seeing the contact tab on your profile.....
Cheers,
Jon

I just committed a bunch of new changes to the module that should make it functional under drupal 5.
