Usually do not post, but saw the "feature request" category: I could really use this module in D7. The views/cck integration is essential. Any plans for porting?

As Uccio mentioned, it looks like he put quite a few core-field formatters into the "dev" release already. His work was based on the following recommendation:

If this provides the same features, without relying on CCK or Views, then it seems to be the better way to go.

Please try out a test installation of 7.x-1.x-dev to see the functionality.

Please speak up if you have an issue with it being handled this way or if there are use cases to consider where integrating with CCK or Views would be of great benefit and need to be considered anyway.

For now, I'm closing this issue and anyone can re-open if they want to provide feedback.
