After installation of Tasklist advanced in 4.7, I cannot create sub tasks. The parent tasklist field is always set to "--MASTER TASKLIST--"

You need to mark the task as a project. Only projects are allowed "subtasks."
An action by definition is a single step. :-)

Yep. This worked I can see the sub task created, but the "Parent Tasklist:" field" is definitely missleading!
