Hi,

someone else had already mentioned this on drupalcenter.de and I experienced the same issue: some files are missing, there's only the metatags.info and the license.txt but no metatags.module file. So Drupal installs it as a theme instead of as a module.
So it would be nice to know if this module is still maintained or some working version as there is no Nodewords for D7 anymore and this had been the only module being recommended or in the works so far!

Those are just placeholder files. Dave Reid hasn't done any actual releases yet and a lot of the project is still in the planning stages.
