Using drupal v5 I get database table errors when I try and do this.

Does anyone have a workaround or tips?

Maybe if you could provide the actual errors you will get a better response form the maintainers.

Similer to:

"user warning: Table 'kor.views_bookmark_nodes' doesn't exist query: SELECT * FROM views_bookmark_nodes WHERE nid = 1 AND (uid = 1 OR uid = 0) in /www/.../includes/database.mysql.inc on line 120."

No idea why this is in the Fivestar queue as it sounds like an issue with views_bookmark. You probably just need to run update.php.
