It appears that ModalBox (at least the latest version, 1.6.1) renders DHTML menu unusable on any pages referencing "prototype.js", a file which comes with the ModalBox package and is necessary in order for it to function.

Dani commentedI haven't ever used this software so I don't know how to help you solve this problem. What I can tell you is that I use Web Modal Windows Builder (Likno) for my pop up windows and it worked fine for me,and the menu works fine, without being conflicted.

modernaut commentedDani,
I was just about to look for an alternative -- good timing!
I'll take a look at this, although I'm leaning more towards lightbox2; hopefully I won't have any conflicts with this or other modules.

modernaut commentedSCRATCH that.
It appears that lightbox2 has the same exact issues with dhtml menu -- they both use "prototype.js"
I've updated the title to reflect this.

modernaut commentedJust a note... TenaMurphy posted a workaround to this:
http://drupal.org/node/261570
These instructions didn't work for me, so I went with a ThickBox implementation, which had no conflicts.
EDIT: ColorBox also works :)

vuilI closed the issue as Closed (outdated) because it is for unsupported 6.x version of Drupal.
