Attach Views Filters Auto-submit to display, rather than view

I often have several displays in a single view and more than one of them may use exposed filters, but I don't always want every display with an exposed filter to submit on change. Rather than attaching this behavior to an entire view, it would be much more useful to attach it to individual displays within views.

To make this even better, from a user experience standpoint, it would be nice if the setting to make a views display use this behavior was in the views interface. Instead of on its own configuration page. Or in addition to its own configuration page, if you want to get real fancy.
