If I have multiple menu items in the primary menu, whichever has the lowest weight all of a sudden loses the ability to be clicked unless I hover over the far right of the link.
In IE and Opera it seems to work fine.
If I disable all but one of the menu items then the one remaining works as expected.

jwolf commentedGreg,
I'm having difficulties reproducing this. The only situation where I come close to what you describe is when the primary links extend beyond the site slogan.
If I create enough primary links that extend to where the site slogan is, the links become overlapped by the slogan and are not responsive to mouseovers or activation. Is this what you have been experiencing?
Could you provide a screenshot to help me better understand what you're facing?
I've attached a screenshot of what I mentioned above with the primary links extending beyond the site slogan.
Thanks.

gregglesAha - you got it!
The multiple primary links problem was actually just because a second link would push the first one over into the slogan.
I'd rather not provide a screenshot because the site isn't live...but the problem is exactly as you describe it. I'll send you a link via your contact form.

gregglesI tested the version you sent to me and it works fine. Thanks!
I would have replied via email but I get an error message (jwolf @ example.com user unknown in virtual alias table).
