The 6.x-1.x readme can be found at http://drupalcode.org/project/boost.git/blob/refs/heads/6.x-1.x:/README.txt, but yeah there's not one present in 7.x-1.x and it probably needs updating.

Thanks leafish_paul for your working link. (Actually it did not solve my problem getting boost to work but I will open a new thread for getting the needed help.)

Just quick: Does anyone know if the mentioned .htaccess changes are similar or obsolete for D7 ? Otherwise I take a look on it deeper next days.

In general I think boost needs a boost :) in gettng ready for D7. I would offer co-maintaining / serving patches, dev-shots & docs to get on.

Let me know ...,
regards

where is the documentation for d7?

Can someone contribute a "readme" file? It should be rather straight forward. I don't think it has changed so much, except that you have to go to admin/config/system/boost in order to set the basic options and generate the .htaccess.

Digidog: yes, help is always welcomed! If you can start with patches, issue queue, documentation, etc, it will be very appreciated. Mike gave me commit access recently, but it's a complex module and I'm trying not to cause too many problems.

@ bgm, its fine. I only have to get deeper into it before I can contribute. I will come back to it when I can do more.

Committed a README.txt file based on the handbook.

It's not as complete as the README in 6.x, but it needs review and I'd rather have most of the content online, and just a summary in the README (to avoid having to manage duplicate documentation).
