Date CCK field validation problem

The clientside validation module is triggering an error message 'Granularity field has to have maximum 1 values' when trying to save a Date defined cck field. Disabling the module let Date hit the actual php validation and allows to save the page without validation errors.

I am using Date 6.x-2.7.
