I have a stripped-down D7 version as a sandbox project (applied for full project) here: http://drupal.org/node/1142582. I applied for a new project since it didn't look like Jacob's version was being maintained anymore. I'm submitting this for review as a D7 port. The functionality is not as complete as the d6 version and it acts more like core search.
Is it better to merge these two into a D7 version or press harder for a new project? Thanks... new to this.

JacobSingh commentedI think you can take over this module if you want.

mpgeek commentedOk. Coupla questions:
1. How does one take over?
2. Since the d7 version amounts to a reduction in functionality, and is put together more like core search, are there any issues with the large discrepancy that would be present between 6.x and the 7.x versions?
Thanks.

larskleiner commentedHi mpgeek,
thanks for looking into the GSA D7 version.
I haven't had a chance to look into your code but I think any D7 version is better then none at all. I'm not aware of anyone else who came forward with a D7 version so you are very welcome to help. I moved on to other projects and don't have time to maintain GSA anymore. It might be a good idea to highlight the main differences between the D6 and D7 versions on the project page and in the README.
Jacob will need to add you as a project maintainer.

mpgeek commentedModule is ready to go (renamed hooks and such). Fully tested and I also have a modified project page ready that outlines the differences and possible dev roadmap. Ready to git it up here.
