The widget is not currently theme-able, and this needs to be addressed. Currently, the bulk of the HTML for this widget is being assembled in the widget's #process function; this should be moved into the theme function instead.

The widget is now theme-able, with the following functions:

  • theme_checkbox_tree
  • theme_checkbox_tree_level
  • theme_checkbox_tree_item

I can set a break point on function theme_checkbox_tree_item($variables) correctly but if I put function THEMENAME_checkbox_tree_item($variables) in my THEMENAME/template.php the function is not overriding even after clearing cache and theme registry

has anybody made use of it after this implementation ?

It seems that the implementation was not done properly (correct me if I am wrong)

I'm using drupal_render to render the individual elements and not manually calling a theme_ function anywhere. Can anyone else confirm that this is happening? I don't see what would be causing it.

I'm lost too. I saw a function name "function theme_term_tree_list($variables)" declared in a hook_theme.
I put a

print "hello world";exit

inside it, clear all the cache several times and never saw my "hello world" displaying...
