There are 9 days left to submit your session proposal for DrupalCon London 2011, which will be held August 22-26, 2011 at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, London area. This is your chance to share your knowledge and experiences with DrupalCon attendees.
You can submit sessions at http://london2011.drupal.org/conference/sessions under the following tracks:
- Site Building and Environment Set-up
- Business and Best Practices
- Code & Coders
- Design, UX and Theming
- Ecosystem
Check out what others have proposed so far.
There will also be a separate Core Conversations track, for which session submissions will open next week. Keep in mind that the deadline for session submissions is 15th May, 2011 at 11:59 GMT+1.
Make sure to also read the Speaker FAQ, which has information on the timeline for the session selection process and other tips. Also, for the first time, selected speakers, giving a full session, will receive free admission to the conference and the opening party on Tuesday night.
To be able to submit session proposals you need to register. Once you registered, you'll have the opportunity to purchase your conference ticket and sign up for the DrupalCon London opening party.
If you already have a drupal.org user account, you can use it to automatically sign in to the DrupalCon website.
The Early Bird price is at 230 GBP and will last until May 31st. After that, ticket prices will increase to 280 GBP. All tickets are subject to 20% British VAT.

@Isabell This looks pretty good. Could you post this as a forum post in Announcements, and link to it in this issue?
A couple of issues I see:
* Missing/broken close link tag results in highlighting a whole paragraph.
* Deadline date probably should be moved up to the top, as most people will end up seeing this with less than 9 days to go.
* Links targets to open new windows -- webmasters, do we have a policy on that?

silverwing commentedI fixed a couple of links and added the banner. (I actually thought the banner's would be terrible, but it actually works.)
@laura_s - re. opening links in new windows - no, we don't have a policy on that. My preference though is not to have those on links.
