Performance compared to Node Reference Views [#1149028]

Hi,

I would like to insert a view as a field in a view, but just to displayed the nodes referencing the current node (using a relationship).
I found out that the module Node Reference Views also provides this functionality, so I wonder which one should I use : Is there any significant difference in terms of performance? Do both modules use the same "trick" to insert a view as a field ?

Would using an Attachment to display all the nodes with a relationship to the referenced parent node (displayed in a Page display) work better? I've used this technique to create views of a question node and all its referenced answer nodes (you can check out this tutorial for the skinny).
