Hi all,

I currently have a module for my live help system. It does have some commercial aspects, but the best part for drupal users is if you have a site that doesn't have a lot of traffic it is free (under 500 visitors/month).

I hope someone can help me get this released into the general CVS for drupal modules, as I would like to maintain it on the drupal server.

Thanks In Advance for any help you can give me.
Nick

This looks like a great module. Hopefully these links will help:

I look forward to trying it out. I got a 403 error when downloading it from http://www.ersysgroup.com/files/prospector.module so it looks like your /files directory isn't world-readable.

Hi,

I have placed it as a zip file now so that drupal doesn't want to display the contents anymore and just goes straight to the download.

Sorry about that. Try again.

Thanks

Got it, thanks.

And thank you for contributing this module!

If you want to release a module, via drupal.org, into the community then any code you commit to CVS (which is required to host a project) must be GPL. The "commercial" aspect of your module sounds distinctly "non-GPL". So, if you apply for a CVS account please ensure you provide full details of the module and it's licensing policy. If it's not GPL your request willl be turned down.

Hi Ajk,

The module itself will be GPL, the system it uses will have a free component (I know not GPL). Do you know who I should talk to about a CVS account. I really don't want to waste anyones time with a CVS account if they are not going to approve it.

Nicholas,

I'm a CVS administrator. You can talk to me :)

Hi Andy,

What is the best way of going about getting this module into the drupal module set? The module itself is Free. The application (Prospector), has a free component, but is not totally free (if that makes sense). So how can I get this module so that the whole community can have access to my new product.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Andy,

I don't know how to contact you so that we can take this out of the forum for discussion.
