Issue Summary
The comment controls section never remembers my preference for 'Threaded List - Expanded' across sessions. I think this bug was fixed once but it is back and evident now on drop.org

Dries, as you are making other changes to comment.module could you take a look at this?

Assigning this to myself and will fix it tonight. Will look at the other comment module issues as well.
