I would like to request typography settings as form elements in the theme settings. I already created some functionality for a D6 theme which assigns typography settings as body classes. This includes font stacks, font size in em based on default site font size, and line height. I'd need to modify some of my code to account for D7 but essentially it works great and can provide some extensive theming capabilities that no other theme has because i think typography is often overlooked and few know good fallback fonts when the font they want to use might not be available on the user's browser. I believe i have a pretty good setup with this and I really like the omega theme so if you'd consider my contribution with this in a future release... i'd be happy to send you what i have for consideration.

fubhy commentedUmh... I am really not a friend of this kind of things. The themer should do this from within the CSS files of his theme and not by adding it to the theme settings. I know I wouldn't want to use it anywhere and I would guess that himerus agrees on that. Maybe SkinR or Sweaver is an option for you?
I am just speaking for myself here but I really wouldnt want to see anything like this in the Omega / Alpha base theme.

apmsooner commentedNo worries, just a thought. Skinr and Sweaver are too time consuming to set properties on every individual block. Fusion theme has builtin typography support in theme settings... just not to the level I've got and omega is much more powerful as a theme. I figured it wasn't a big deal since omega allows to turn on/off features you don't want but if the consensus is no interest than no problem on my end. Personally i think typography is much more important then color support which seems to be of interest as an added feature but to each his own.

fubhy commentedColor support (for the Delta module) is more or less obligatory since the Color module is part of Core, that was actually the heaviest argument for implementing it. This typography stuff really is sub-theme material (I believe!).

c8n commentedWell I think this issue is dead, isn't it? I agree with fubhy that this is not a good area for option settings since you always have to limit options and font choice shouldn't be limited. Plus: we are on Omega 4 now with a totally different basic approach. I know this is for another Omega version but I think this issue won't get much love here no more? So may I be so fresh and should close this issue? (came here by chance while looking for something else)
