I have looked and looked but I cannot find a user search module?
This seems like a very basic feature does it exist?

administer > user, then the "search" tab.

With user search turned on, you'll see a new tab on the search page for "Users". I think the url is yourdomain.com/search/user.

How do you search the profile fields? Is this a module or function that has to be added?
