I try to *see* where I can find strings that contain "book outline" on the interface when playing around with the book module but I can't seem to click on the right things. This is solely for the purpose of picking the best french translation for it... (ébauche, grandes lignes, résumé,?)

Can you either do a screen grab or explain how to get drupal to display the strings "book outline" ?

"book outline" is shown on a tab for non-book nodes. You need a fairly recent cvs checkout for this. It got fixed only a few days ago.

The book outlines are now managed through a node tab (if book.module is enabled).

The 'book outline' is a function to put other nodes inside the book. So a synonym would be 'book structure' or something.
