It's use is incredibly limited in it's current state, this player should be incorporated with the video module so that people can just choose it as a default player for video nodes instead of having to go through all these hoops, loosing much drupal functionality in the process, just to be able to jerry rig it to play videos.

It should work by enabling it, going into videos config and having it as a player option in the list to choose with specific formats just like the flowplayer.

@unc0nnected,

This is something we can look into. In fact, we've started reaching out to community members who are interested in working on the module with us. If this is an initiative you'd be interested in, feel free to contact me via my email.

I am currently working on an update to bring it more inline with standard Drupal expectations. So I'm interested in what Drupal functionality you feel has been lost since I would like to address it.

Thanks.

+1 on this - subscribing

My current HTML5 implementation is using Video and Flowplayer3 (via SWF Tools.) I've finally gotten this to work, save for the iPhone (testing using iPhoney), which insists on using QT player. Video starts immediately and the controls don't really work. Again - this is iPhone only - everything else is more or less OK.

I can't get VideoJS player to "see" the files at all - it just keeps grinding away looking for the file(s).

(I'm encoding flv, mp4, ogf, mov and webm.)

So a working option here (particularly with a player for iPhone) would be most welcome here. Thanks!

Yeah, we definitely would like to become involved in what is looking to be the primary solution for video in Drupal. This is next on the list after the port of the module to Drupal 7. If you're interested in this development you're more than welcome to contribute.

I have a few community members interested in working on a definitive solution. We're just trying to figure out the details.

Thanks.
