I just setup D7 and put the search block in the header area. But when I go to the Home page it disappears. If I go to any other node it is there.
I did a search but didn't find anything. I have checked the permissions and they seem good.
Anyone seen this before?

- is your frontpage a panel
- is your frontpage a panel that is set to override all other blocks?
- is your search block set to appear on certain pages only?
- is there another block on your frontpage in the same region that might push out the search bock?
- Is there a setting in your theme that mights cause this?
I had checked all the content
I had checked all the content types in the configure area of the block.. Once I unchecked all content types it showed up.
